Hi everyone! I’m Dana Gurski, the owner and creator of Fairy Hair by Dana. I live here in Connecticut with my husband and beautiful baby girl, both of which are my ENTIRE world! My passion is to spread love and joy to everyone, and adding shimmering sparkles does just that!

I decided to launch Fairy Hair by Dana in the beginning of 2023 after visiting SC and getting fairy hair like I always did. It brought me so much joy and confidence again that I decided I wanted to help others feel this way too! Now, I am working to spread magical fairy hair across the state of Connecticut!

What is fairy hair?

Fairy Hair is bling for your hair! They are glittery strands that are non-toxic, non-damaging and can be treated like you would any type of hair. You can brush, wash, blow dry, straighten, curl, color and cut as you normally do, as they are both heat and hair product resistant.

How is fairy hair attached?

I tie the fairy hair and one strand of your hair in a tiny knot using a small tool. The knot is so small and tight you may not even feel it! The fairy hair lays two strands per knot.

How long will my fairy hair last for?

You should expect to stay sparkling with your fairy hair for 4-6 weeks for adults and up to 4 weeks for kids (also could be longer depending on hair type). The fairy hair is tied to one strand of your hair and should remain until that individual strand of hair sheds. It is common to have a few shed during the first week, so I always put extra strands of fairy hair in just in case! Everyone’s shedding pattern is different and children commonly shed slightly faster than adults, but you may notice some of your fairy hair lasting for MONTHS!

How much does fairy hair cost?

Depending on how subtle or sparkly you would like to be, there are different options for all!

What should I know for my appointment?

Having clean, dry and brushed hair that is free of product is best suitable for the application of fairy hair. It's good to comb or brush strongly prior to your appointment to help remove any hair that is shedding or ready to shed. This allows for strong hairs to be used for best results!
